I had the privilege of leading a workshop at Bright Education Centre. This was about the university application process and the opportunities that students should seek in order maximize their chances of success when it comes to applying for competitive courses and universities. It’s important the we hold such events, particularly for students who attend state schools. This is because they won’t have much exposure or information about higher education compared to the private school counterparts. Growing up, it was workshops like these that gave me an insight into what life was like beyond school. Also, seeing people from my community attending prestigious universities has most definitely inspired me to aim high, so I wanted to be able to instill that same confidence in others.
